Embodied Knowledge Transfer Between University and Economy


Abstract
This study inquired the scope of knowledge transfer by changing from executive chairs to a university professorship and vice-versain Germany. Barriers to this transfer process and potentials to increase mobility in this respect were studied. Personnel data of selected universities were analysed. Furthermore, deans, professors and executives were consulted. The study was initiated and funded by the Stifterverband für die Deutsche Wissenschaft and the Gemeinnützige Hertie-Stiftung.
