Abstract
The 1st gas phase structure of a silanetriol, tert-butylsilanetriol [tBuSi(OH)3], detd. by gas electron diffraction (GED), is reported. Quantum chem. calcns. were performed to elucidate potential intermol. interactions between silanetriol mols. in the gas phase. The results are set into contrast to solid state structures of tBuSi(OH)3 and related compds. [on SciFinder(R)]
