Zusammenfassung, Abstract
The reactivity of phosphines with a fluoroaryl group (HF4C6-) carrying a spectator function in para position was explored with respect to the formation of low coordinated and P rich phosphines. Asym. diphosphene HF4C6P:PMes* (Mes* = C6H2(tBu)3-2,4,6) was identified as an intermediate in the synthesis of linear 1,3-dihydrophosphine H(HF4C6)PP(Mes*)P(Mes*)H, while the sym. diphosphene HF4C6P:PC6F4H undergoes 2+2 cycloaddn. under formation of the corresponding cyclotetraphosphetane for which a crystal structure was obtained. Attempts to synthesize HF4C6-substituted iminophosphines generally failed, which is attributed to the electronic nature of the corresponding precursors as suggested by quantum chem. calcns.
