Abstract
The potential of Controlled Traffic Farming (CTF) is investigated in a field trial in Switzerland. CTF direct drilling is being compared with mouldboard ploughing and conventional direct drilling. Results from the first three years show that no traffic areas develop differently than areas with traffic. In no traffic areas soil physical parameters steadily improve; due to other factors plant response is less accentuated.
