Abstract
The prepn. of sterically highly strained phosphines Cp2*PX (X = F, I, Cp* = pentamethylcyclopentadienyl) is described. Protocols for the so far unknown congeners (X = F, Cl, Br, I), as well as improved procedures for the already described ones Cp2*PX (X = Cl, Br) are presented. Also, the mol. structures of three of these compds. in the solid state were studied from x-ray diffraction data. [on SciFinder(R)]
