Abstract
P-Ferrocenyl-substituted alkylidenephosphines (e.g. FcP:CtBu(OTMS)) were prepd. and characterized spectroscopically. Their ready conversion to the corresponding acylphosphines (e.g., FcPHC(O)tBu) and 1,2-diacyldiphosphines, as well as a new type of phosphirene synthesis are presented. The x-ray structure of the tetraferrocenyl-substituted diacyldiphosphine, FcC(O)P(Fc)P(Fc)C(O)Fc, was studied. Also, P-ferrocenyl iminophosphines (e.g. FcP:NMes*) and their complexation behavior (e.g., (Ph3P)2Pt(FcP:NMes*)) are described. Diferrocenyldiphosphene, which is known to be unstable, was stabilized by complexation with Fe; this was confirmed by NMR-spectroscopy and x-ray structure anal. of (μ2-η1η2-diferrocenyldiphosphene)bis[tetracarbonyliron] [(μ2-η1η2-FcP:PFc)(Fe(CO)4)2].
