Abstract
The following paper developed from a selection of material that I encountered during my research leave. It is based on two key aspects: I chose material that either exnominates conflict (i.e. denies and represses conflict) or stages conflict
in a way that questions authoritarian gestures and actions. All cited materials are the result of collective working pro-cesses and many of them represent the working processes of an educational institution of art and design. I focus on
materials from the late 1960s and early 1970s, particularly in the second part of the text, because I wish to contribute to a renewed examination of the educational concepts of that time regarding their orientation towards anti-classism with an emphasis on a critique of authority that was often explicitly motivated by anti-fascist considerations.
