Academic background
Prof. Dr.- Ing. Albert Claudi was born in 1954 in Germany. He received a Diploma in Electrical Engineering and a Dr.-Ing. degree at the Technical University of Aachen. His industrial career in short: 2 years with AEG-Power Systems in Frankfurt, 8 years as head of R&D at HAEFELY/ Switzerland and 3 years as Director of R&D at Raychem/ Tycoelectronics in Munich. In the year 2000 he joined the University of Kassel as head of the chair for Power Systems and High Voltage Technology. He is a member of several National and International working groups, among others in CIGRE Study Committee D1 and in the Working Group B2-52: Robotics for Overhead Lines.
