Isolation and Characterization of dsRNases from Arabis brassica

Abstract
We have isolated the gene for the CAF dsRNase homolog from Arabis brassica and fragments of the gene from several other plant species. Recombinant peptides have been generated in E. coli and are currently being used to generate polyclonal antisera in rabbits. Preliminary data show that first generation antibodies react with one large protein in plant extracts and with 6 distinct peptides in Dictyostelium extracts.
