Progress in Higher Education Reform: Governance Reform (Hochschulsteuerung in Europa)



Abstract
The study aimed to provide a broad overview of the major developments in higher education governance and the relationships between higher education institutions and the state across Europe. It focused on the impact of Governance reforms in terms of the performance of the higher education sector in 27 European Union Member States, EEA/EFTA countries (Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway, Switzerland) and candidate countries (Croatia and Turkey): a total of 33 countries.
