Abstract
Bioborizons is a pathfinder project financed by the European Commission in the framework of the EIT Climate-KIC programm. It ams at getting an overview about the situation of the bioeconomy in the EU with a focus on stakeholders, in particular companies, supply chains and markets. Regional particularities, market failure as well as chances and barriers are analysed to develop sustainable bio-based business models aiming at climate change mitigation and/or adaptation.
