Abstract
The article discusses a framework for the classification and compilation of corporate material and energy flow analysis (MEFA), which allows small and medium sized enterprises to use MEFA as a tool in corporate decision making. MEFAs can be distinguished according to their managerial focus (short focus) into those for technical/operational, managerial/organizational or strategic levels. The technical/operational level describes direct operations of a company, while the managerial/organizational level sets the framework for the operations, e.g. by defining the organizational structure of a company.
