Zusammenfassung, Abstract
A new generation of spiro type molecule 2,2 ',6,6 '-Tetraphenyl-4,4 '-spirobi[cyclopenta[2,1-b;3,4-b ']dithio- phene, Spiro-4P-CPDT (see figure) has been synthesized and characterized. The optical, electrochemical, and electrical properties are very different with respect to its 9,9 '-spirobifluorene analogue, Spiro-Quaterphenyl. This new compound with less aromatic heteroaryl unit as the core is a promising candidate as an amorphous charge transport materials in organic electronics.
