Abstract
Photoionization cross sections and angular electron distribution parameters in the photoionization of thesubvalent shells of Kr and Xe atoms are calculated. The configuration interaction theory and theperturbation theory are used for describing the many-electron effects. Relativistic effects are taken intoaccount in the Pauli-Fock approximation. The necessity is shown to take into account simultaneouslymany-electron and relativistic effects in the description of the photoionization of the outer shells in thenear-threshold region.
