Abstract
The method presented enables a Particel Image Velocity (PIV) system with moderate sampling rates to achieve the time-resolved presentation of instationary phenomena with high frequencies. Therefore the method determines the phasing of the phaenomena via wavelet transform for each PIV-measurement. The measurements can be arranged according to their phasing and represent the development of the phenomena over one periode in time. The method is tested for the phenomenon of the Karman vortex street.
