Abstract
This paper discusses an document discovery tool based onconceptual clustering by formal concept analysis. The programallows users to navigate email using a visual lattice metaphorrather than a tree. It implements a virtual file structure overemail where files and entire directories can appear in multiplepositions. The content and shape of the lattice formed by theconceptual ontology can assist in email discovery. The systemdescribed provides more flexibility in retrieving stored emailsthan what is normally available in email clients. The paperdiscusses how conceptual ontologies can leverage traditionaldocument retrieval systems and aid knowledge discovery in documentcollections.
