Abstract
Some novel P-rich [3]ferrocenophanes are reported with PPP or NPN bridge. The P-bridged ferrocenophanes were obtained from the corresponding diphosphenes by intramol. thermal 2+2 addn. The reactivity of the diphosphenes toward hydrochlorination is explored as well. The NPN ferrocenophane is was obtained via salt metathesis and is one of the rare examples of this compd. class. Besides spectroscopic characterization, its structure was elucidated with x-ray crystallog. [on SciFinder(R)]
