Zusammenfassung, Abstract
Based on a numerical study by means of 3D finite element analysis, this paper discusses investigations of the bearing behaviour of piled rafts in overconsolidated clay. It is shown that especially the interaction between piles and raft is of major influence. The potential savings of an optimised foundation design are demonstrated for a simple example.
