Abstract
This article describes a workshop that aims at teaching prospective language teachers declarative, procedural, and conditional knowledge about language learning strategies. Teachers can adapt the activities for their foreign language classes. In the course of the workshop, the participants will be working on cognitively challenging tasks in Polish. This will put the participants in the position of beginning foreign language learners. The workshop is based on the assumption that, in order to teach language learning strategies, teachers need to be aware of their own learning processes and strategies. This aims at raising teachers’ sensitivity of their students’ learning difficulties.
